It’s Official. I’m Giving Up Vintage!
Yup, it’s official. I’m giving up vintage for Lent. It’s been a whole week now & I’m already feeling the need to turn off the notifications from certain selling groups on Facebook & I even found myself trawling Etsy for handbags the other day & I NEVER find anything on Etsy ever!
So what has bought me to this radical conclusion I hear you all ask, well, I’ve not got much more in life I need to give up really! I’m a non drinking vegetarian whose made big diet changes already this year so it was the only thing I could think of as a challenge & I’ll be honest, it’s not just strictly vintage but it’s more stopping those small impulse purchases that we make every week that just gnaw away at our bank balances. I’ve lasted a whole week already which has included 2 days of half term so I don’t think I’m doing too badly so far!
I have a huge wardrobe bursting with beautiful clothes & lots of super cute accessories so I also want to focus on this period as being the time I rediscover some hidden gems I have lurking at the back of my wardrobe or teaming that gorgeous Summer dress with thick tights & a cardigan to give it a new look!
So keep an eye on my instagram account to see how I get on with my challenge! What I’d love is for you lovely folk to suggest a really good vintage or antiques fair for me to attend on Easter Sunday as my experiment ends at midnight March 26th so I’ll be anticipating a day of tea & cake & surrounding myself with pretty things!
So tell me, where should I head towards to get my vintage fix after my self imposed exile?
Much Vintage Love,
